To maximise the benefits of your new mattress:
BICO Climaluxe mattress : Turn your BICO
Climaluxe mattress every month end to end and side
to side for the first three months, then every six
months. This will help even out the slight body
impressions that will develop as the upholstery
settles.
BICO AirPulse mattress: As this is a one
sided mattress, it does not need to be turned over,
only rotated.
NOTTINBLU Sinue and Celebrity mattresses:
Turn your Nottinblu Sinue or Celebrity mattress
every month end to end and side to side for the
first three months, then every six months. This will
help even out the slight body impressions that will
develop as the upholstery settles
NOTTINBLU Anatomik mattress: As this is a one
sided mattress, it does not need to be turned over,
only rotated.
Don’t use an old foundation with your new mattress.
The two parts of your sleep set work together for
your comfort and support.
Occasional airing of your mattress is recommended.
Do not cover the mattress with synthetic material,
this blocks transpiration and may also be flammable.
WASHING YOUR MATTRESS COVER
To wash your mattress cover, unzip the cover all
the way around the mattress. Unhook the cover from
the ‘mattress handles’ and lift cover off.
Machine wash at 60 degrees for optimum results,
air dry in shade.
Remove residual material with a clean sponge.
Stains caused by organic material may be removed by
gently rubbing the cover with a damp sponge and a
small amount of delicate detergent or white vinegar.
MATTRESS SUPPORTS
Correct mattress support is important to provide
long life for the mattress. Mattresses always follow
the contour of whatever they rest on. A base that is
too hard, too soft, not supportive or restricts air
circulation may damage your mattress.
If your new base features a flexible slat
construction, it is recommended that the slats be
rotated from high load areas (centre of bed) to low
load areas (i.e. below the feet) to enhance the
durability of the slats. If your flexible slats lose
their resilience and become concave (dip downwards
in the centre) instead of convex (arch upwards) it
may adversely affect the structural integrity of
your new mattress.
Slats must be spaced no more than 8cm apart and
measure no more than 12cm wide so as not to cause
mildew by not allowing moisture to evaporate
sufficiently.
A breathable insulating mattress protector or
blanket over the slats is advisable.
OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- At first your new mattress may feel a little
different from the mattress you have been
sleeping on. Don’t worry, you’ll soon adjust to
the extra comfort and support that this unique
sleep system provides
- When first unpackaged, the product may emit
a characteristic odour. This is completely
harmless and disappears after a short period
- Small indentations are normal on the surface
of any new mattress whilst the upholstery
filling is settling to a normal position and
adjusting to your body contours. This does not
constitute a manufacturer’s fault. Up to 25mm
height loss is considered normal
- The mattress must not be folded, rolled or
tightly tied
- Remove and destroy the plastic bag. Do not
allow children to play with the bag
- Do not smoke in bed.
